REFUND POLICY
Refund Eligibility
You may be eligible for a refund under the following circumstances:
- Return of unused product in original condition within 7 days of delivery
- Defective or damaged products (reported within 24 hours of delivery)
- Note: Orders can be cancelled before shipping. Once the product is shipped, you will need to receive the item and initiate the return process manually
- Incorrectly shipped items
Refund Process
- Initiate a refund request through your account or contact customer service customercare@americantraveller.in
- Please provide the order number, proof of purchase, a photo of the damaged product, and the reason for the refund request.
- Return the product following our Return & Exchange Policy (if applicable)
- Our QC team will inspect the returned product
- If approved, your refund will be processed
Refund Methods
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase:
- Credit/debit card refunds: 5-10 business days to appear on statement
- UPI/Net banking refunds: 3-7 business days
- Store credit refunds: issued immediately
Partial Refunds
Partial refunds may be issued when:
- Items are returned without original packaging
- Products show signs of handling beyond inspection
- Note: If you purchase a set of 3 products and wish to keep only 2, or if you purchase a set of 2 products and wish to keep only 1, you will receive a refund equivalent to the price of a single product
- Promotional or discount codes were applied to the original purchase
Non-Refundable Items & Costs
The following are not eligible for refunds:
- Shipping and handling charges (except in cases of our error)
- Gift wrapping or other service fees
- Items specified as “final or clearance sale” or “non-returnable” or “any specific product offer”
- Products damaged by customer use
Cancellation Refunds
- Orders cancelled before shipping: full refund
- Orders cancelled after shipping: refund minus shipping costs, initiate the return process manually.
Refunds for Promotional Items
- Items purchased with a promotional discount may be refunded at the actual paid price
- Buy-one-get-one items: returning either item will adjust the refund to reflect actual value
Refund Timeline
- Request review: 1-2 business days
- Product inspection (if applicable): 1-3 business days after receipt
- Refund processing: 1-2 business days after approval
- Funds appearance in account: 5-10 business days (varies by payment method)
Exceptions Process
If your refund request falls outside our standard policy but you believe it warrants consideration:

- Include order number
- Our team will review case-by-case within 5 business days

WARRANTY INFORMATION
Warranty Coverage
American Traveller provides warranty coverage for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the following periods:
- American Traveller luggage comes with a warranty to the first purchaser or gift recipient of the travel gear (‘Product’) from the date of purchase of the Product for the period specified in Digital Warranty.
What’s Covered
Our warranty covers defects including but not limited to:
– The warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use during the warranty period.
– If the product fails due to a manufacturing defect during this time, we will repair it or, at our discretion, replace it with the same or similar model.
What’s Not Covered
Our warranty does not cover:
A. Defects not reported timely to the Company within the said warranty period.Damages caused by mishandling by airlines, transport companies, or couriers or any other third parties.
B. Wear and tear from regular use such as scratches, dents, stains, fading, or accidental damage. Damages such as zip bursts, cracks, dents and scratches to any of the components, tearing of inner lining or any other fabrics.
C. Misuse, negligence, exposure to extreme conditions (such as heat, solvents, water), or alteration of the product.
D. Any repairs made by unauthorized service centers or individuals will void the warranty.
E. Powder coating, gold plating, wood finish on locks, frames channels/trolley and on all other metallic surfaces. Replacement/repair of briefcase folios and suitcase divider flaps.
Warranty Claim Process
- Contact our customer service with:
- Your order number and proof of purchase
- Photos of the defect
- Description of the issue
- Note: Please take a video before opening the product
- Our team will evaluate your claim within 5-9 business days
- If approved, we will provide repair or replacement instructions
- Return the defective item as instructed (shipping costs covered for valid warranty claims)
Repair vs. Replacement
- When possible, we will repair your product
- Note: Please take a video before opening the product
- If repair is not feasible, we will replace with the same model
- If the same model is unavailable, we will offer a comparable model of equal value
- Repaired or replaced products will be covered for the remainder of the original warranty period

- Customers outside Chennai can use our mail-in service by contacting us at customercare@americantraveller.in Approved claims must be shipped with a prepaid shipping label
Limited Time Warranty
Select premium products marked with “730 days Warranty” are covered for the life of the product against manufacturing defects only, subject to normal use conditions.
Transfer of Warranty
- Our warranty is extended only to the original purchaser
- Warranty is non-transferable if product is resold or given as a gift
